Terms & Conditions

1. Scope and Acceptance

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern use of BGIEuropeSeminars.com® (the “Site”) and the purchase of any in-person seminar, online course, webinar, eNote, eBook, or other product offered through the Site (each, a “Product”). “BGIES,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to BGI Europe Seminars®; “you” refers to any visitor, customer, or purchaser.

By using the Site or purchasing a Product, you agree to these Terms, our Cancellation Policy, and our Privacy Policy. We may update these Terms at any time; the version posted when you purchase governs that purchase, and continuing to use the Site after an update means you accept the revised Terms going forward.

By using the Site, you confirm you’re at least 18 and legally able to enter into a contract.

2. Who You’re Contracting With

BGIES operates BGIEuropeSeminars.com® as a platform, with checkout through WooCommerce. For each Product, the contracting parties are you (the “Buyer”) and that Product’s instructor, author, or creator (the “Seller”). BGIES receives no payment or commission from Product sales and doesn’t process, collect, or store payment information — payments go directly between you and your chosen provider (PayPal, Stripe, or bank transfer via Wise), and BGIES never sees or retains your browsing history or payment details.

3. Electronic Agreement

Transactions on the Site are conducted electronically. By completing a purchase and checking “I agree to the Terms & Conditions,” you agree to transact electronically, receive notices by email, and confirm the accuracy of the information you provide. Electronic signatures carry the same legal effect as signatures on paper. This agreement forms on the date payment is accepted, and supersedes any separate agreement you may have with your payment provider or bank.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Arete LLC, DBA BGI Europe Seminars®, and its affiliates, officers, contractors, and agents, from claims arising from information you provide in a transaction.

4. Registration Categories

We offer three registration categories:

  • Chiropractor — a graduate of any accredited College of Chiropractic (D.C. or M.Chiro).
  • Student of Chiropractic — actively enrolled in a College of Chiropractic, with a current student ID at registration. German Mastery program participants don’t qualify for the student rate, since that program permits practicing while enrolled.
  • Builder of the Field (BoF) — a chiropractor who has completed all four foundational Geometry seminars and registered for the right to use our trademarks, qualifying for BoF seminar and discount packages.

5. Fees, Currency, and VAT

Unless a listing says otherwise, places are limited and registrations are honored in order of payment. Your PayPal, Stripe, or bank transfer confirmation number is your registration confirmation, and Arete LLC issues a receipt on payment. Only fully paid registrations received before the Product’s start date are entitled to attend.

Fees are set by the Seller in the currency shown at checkout; PayPal or your bank handles currency conversion. Fees exclude VAT unless stated otherwise, and VAT treatment varies by EU member state.

6. Payment Methods

We accept PayPal (major cards and supported digital wallets), Stripe, and bank transfer via Wise, through our WooCommerce checkout. Checks aren’t accepted; for other payment methods, contact the Seller directly. Same-currency bank transfers are free; cross-currency or international transfers carry a low-cost fee. Since transfers can take from seconds to several days, please send a screenshot confirming yours was sent so processing isn’t delayed waiting on your bank.

7. Payment Plans

Payment plans are available on request — the earlier you register, the more installments can typically be arranged. Under EU Directive 2011/7/EU, payment terms won’t exceed 60 days unless expressly agreed and not grossly unfair to you; where no term is specified, 30 days applies from the invoice date.

Plans are arranged by WhatsApp: you and the Seller agree on schedule and amounts, bank details are shared, and each installment is confirmed by a screenshot of the completed transfer. We send a reminder with a payment link about a week before each installment is due, and a final itemized invoice once the plan is complete.

Invoices are due in full within 30 days of delivery unless a plan states otherwise, and are payable by bank transfer only. Late payments accrue interest at 11.15% per annum (the ECB base rate plus 8%), calculated daily once more than 90 days overdue — contact us if you anticipate a delay, as a reduced amount may be negotiated.

If a plan is defaulted on, or your creditworthiness materially worsens, all outstanding amounts become immediately due, and we may require security or advance payment for further Products. Products delivered by BGIES remain our property until paid for in full.

8. Raffles and Giveaways

BGIES occasionally offers a free seminar place as a raffle or giveaway prize at partner events, open to chiropractors and chiropractic students of legal age in their country of residence (immediate family of the offering sponsor excluded). Prizes are non-transferable without our written consent and expire, non-refundable, if the winner can’t attend the associated seminar date.

9. Cancellations, Transfers & Refunds

  • More than 45 days before the seminar, where materials have already been provided: request a partial refund in writing to bgieuropeseminars@gmail.com. BGI Europe Seminars retains €300 per geometry for materials already provided (€600 for the combined Posterior and Anterior Geometry, and Posterior and Osseous seminar, since materials for two seminars were provided). You may instead rebook a similar seminar within the same year at no extra charge, though this option carries no cash refund.
  • 45 days or fewer before the seminar, where materials have already been provided: the full fee is forfeited, though registration can still be transferred to another date or location within the same calendar year.
  • Registrations cannot be transferred to a third party.

All cancellations must be requested in writing to bgieuropeseminars@gmail.com. Your PayPal, Stripe, or Wise transaction number is proof of any refund issued. Cash refunds aren’t available — if you paid by cash, provide bank details so a refund can be issued by transfer. Bank charges, PayPal fees, and currency conversion costs on a refund are the buyer’s responsibility.

For BGI® online courses and other web-based training: cancel or reschedule free of charge within 3 calendar days of purchase by writing to bgieuropeseminars@gmail.com. After that, the course fee (at full price) is retained. We may change online course dates or fees without notice, and aren’t responsible for other costs from a transfer or cancellation.

10. Our Right to Decline Registration

BGIES and its Sellers may decline or remove a registration without stating a reason.

11. Wait List

If a seminar is full, BGIES may activate a wait list at its discretion. You may join if the wait list is active, you meet the seminar’s enrollment conditions, and the list itself isn’t full — though a place isn’t guaranteed. Questions can be directed to bgieuropeseminars@gmail.com.

12. What’s Included

Unless a Product’s description says otherwise, associated materials (manuals, notes, videos, or other digital content) are included in the price. These are protected under EU Intellectual Property Office and EU Trademark Office registration, copyright law, and applicable Creative Commons terms, and licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use only. Reproducing, reprinting, translating, or transferring materials to a third party without the owner’s written consent is copyright infringement and will be pursued. Where BGIES includes material it doesn’t own, it does so as a steward, not the rights holder, and claims no ownership over it.

13. Permitted Use

Products and materials are for your personal, non-commercial use only. Report errors or access issues to bgieuropeseminars@gmail.com. You agree not to share access credentials, screenshot, film, or redistribute Product content to third parties — free or paid — without our approval. We may suspend access if this is violated.

14. Location and Travel Costs

In-person Product locations are posted on the Site and in each listing. Venue owners aren’t affiliated with BGIES or the Seller. Travel, accommodation, meals, and other incidental costs are your responsibility unless a listing states otherwise.

15. Certificates and Continuing Education Credit

You’ll receive a certificate of participation if you attend at least 75% of a Product’s agenda and complete any required assessment. In-person Products carry CPD hours as stated in that Product’s listing. Online eProducts qualify for CPD credit only — they don’t, on their own, satisfy the prerequisite to advance to the next foundational Geometry seminar, which requires in-person attendance and hands-on instruction with a BGI Steward or Liaison.

Certificates are issued by email or WhatsApp, in PNG format, after you complete the required post-seminar review within the stated window. Late requests, and requests to replace a lost certificate, carry a €20 administrative fee.

16. If a Seminar Is Cancelled by Us

If we must cancel a Product for reasons beyond our control (illness, insufficient enrollment, force majeure, or similar), you have two options:

  • A full refund, minus €300 per geometry for course materials already provided; or
  • A seamless transfer of your registration to any upcoming seminar of the same kind.

We’re not liable for other costs you may have incurred, such as travel or lost income.

We may also adjust a Product’s schedule, timing, or location — including consolidating locations to meet minimum attendance — and will notify you if this happens. Because BGIES isn’t the Seller of any Product, claims relating to such changes can’t be made against BGIES.

17. Assumption of Risk

BGI® seminars involve hands-on instruction in chiropractic approaches, including physical contact and partner-based practice between participants — an inherently physical activity with a real risk of injury. By registering, you confirm you’re physically able to participate, and agree to disclose to instructors, before participating, any condition that could affect your ability to safely give or receive hands-on instruction. You may decline any specific hands-on exercise, as either practitioner or recipient, at any time.

18. Intellectual Property

The Site and all Products contain material protected under EU Intellectual Property Office and EU Trademark Office registration, copyright, trademark, and trade secret law, and applicable international treaties. Except for personal or internal business use, no material may be reprinted, republished, redistributed, or retransmitted without our written permission. BGIEuropeSeminars.com®, the BGI Europe Seminars® logo, and related names are our service marks and may not be used without our permission.

You agree not to:

  • Publish Site material on any media outlet, social or otherwise;
  • Sub-license or commercialize Site material;
  • Publicly perform or display Site material;
  • Use the Site in a way that damages it or impairs others’ access;
  • Use the Site unlawfully, or in a way that could harm the Site or any person or business;
  • Data-mine, harvest, or extract data from the Site;
  • Use the Site for unauthorized advertising or marketing.

We may restrict access to any part of the Site at our discretion. Site content is confidential and protected by copyright and registered trademarks.

19. Media Consent

By participating in a seminar, you confirm you’re at least 18 and own the rights to your likeness, and consent to being interviewed, quoted, photographed, or filmed by BGIES or its content partners. You grant BGIES the right to edit and reuse this material for educational, commercial, and non-commercial purposes, in any medium, without compensation, until you revoke consent in writing to bgieuropeseminars@gmail.com.

20. No Resale

You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, resell, or otherwise commercially exploit any BGIES intellectual property, content, or service.

21. Governing Law and Disputes

BGI Europe Seminars® is operated by Arete LLC (South Dakota, USA), doing business in the EU through its registered Italian branch/DBA, through which it pays Italian taxes. The BGI® and BioGeometric Integration® trademarks are EU-registered (EUTM) with the EUIPO. On this basis, these Terms are governed by Italian law, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent Italian courts, except where mandatory consumer protection law provides otherwise.

The place of performance is the Seller’s registered location. If any provision of these Terms is found invalid, the rest remain in effect.

22. Modification or Termination of Service

We may modify or discontinue the Site, in whole or part, at any time, with or without notice, and aren’t liable to you or any third party for doing so.

23. Ownership

The Site is owned and operated by Arete LLC, DBA BGIEuropeSeminars.com®, which holds the domain and related intellectual property. Except as expressly stated, no Site material may be copied, reproduced, or distributed, and nothing on the Site licenses Arete LLC’s or Amy Jane Burke’s intellectual property. Arete LLC sells, licenses, or leases only materials it specifically identifies as its own; all other rights are reserved.

24. Environmental Commitment

BGIES minimizes paper use by delivering courses, materials, billing, and communications digitally wherever possible — “choice is a function of awareness.”

25. Notices by Email

We may give notices by posting them on the Site or emailing the address you provided at registration. You’re considered to have received a notice once it’s posted or sent, whether or not you actually read it — so please keep your email address current with us.

26. Disclaimer of Warranties

Except as expressly agreed between you and BGIES, all content, Products, and services are provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You’re solely responsible for determining whether the Site and its Products suit your intended use. BGIES and its suppliers aren’t liable for indirect, special, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages, except as otherwise agreed. Some jurisdictions don’t allow limits on implied warranties or certain damages — if that applies to you, some limitations above may not apply, and you may have additional rights.
